I have an old dumb phone but it still talks to my PC..
I just have a directory on my mirrored set that I sync with the phone.
That updates the music I seldom use and all of the contact/setup info.
As I stated, there is no excuse for losing your phone contacts...
They're easy to back up to any number of places, and easy to restore, too.
