1. It's not Clancy's new book. It was published posthumously.
2. The author is Mark Greaney. Clancy hasn't actually written any novels
in probably a decade. His business franchise partners write them.
3. I thought The Hunt for Red October was a pretty good thriller, but,
like all of Clancy's books and the books written under his name, there's
almost no character development. Jack Ryan is always the same Jack Ryan.
I'm not knocking the books or Clancy's success, mind you, but I usually
expect the protagonists to be changed by the novel's events.
Does that have something to do with Crimea and Ukraine and Russia?
Or are you just blowing gas again?
