Interesting. I'll let you know when Russia invades Ukraine and the
outcome.

1. It's not Clancy's new book. It was published posthumously.

2. The author is Mark Greaney. Clancy hasn't actually written any novels
in probably a decade. His business franchise partners write them.

3. I thought The Hunt for Red October was a pretty good thriller, but,
like all of Clancy's books and the books written under his name, there's
almost no character development. Jack Ryan is always the same Jack Ryan.
I'm not knocking the books or Clancy's success, mind you, but I usually
expect the protagonists to be changed by the novel's events.

All references to "Command Authority" attribute "Tom Clancy with Mark
Greaney" as the author(s). To say that it's not Clancy's new book,
regardless of how much or little involvement he had with it or the fact
that it was published after he died is not accurate, IMO.

Greaney wrote the book but it was still in collaboration with Clancy who
I suspect performed some editing functions. Clancy had a clear and
concise understanding of geopolitical issues that are presented with
uncanny accuracy in some of his novels.
