Hello, I will be at The New River Gorge from Oct. 16-22. I wanted to take a whi****er rafting trip, but it is looking like the weekend of the 18-19th is the only available time. That also happens to be "Bridge Day" weekend and we wanted to see the festival too. Is it possible to raft during the week? Is the festival worth spending 1 or 2 days at? Should we raft The New, oe the Gauley? Thanks for any info. Bret Bodas (we are new to rafting, but are fit and adventurous) E-mail me at , thanks again... Try the New or the Lower Gauley before attempting the Upper Gauley. Many outfitters have packages that include watching the base jumpers from river level. Bridge day is only one day. http://www.passagestoadventure.com/ http://www.800classvi.com/index.cfm http://www.raft-songer.com/ http://www.ultimaterafting.com/ http://www.aceraft.com/ JAM |
