In the light of recent developments (the safety report on the lake
that undermined the bylaw, the Audit Commissions damning criticism of
the National Parks management etc), the Windermere Action Force are
trying to increase the pressure on the government and the National
Park Authority.

With that in mind, there is now an easy and free way to fax your MP
with a letter of your wording just by following the link below:

http://www.waf.uk.com/write.html

Be sure to include your name and address otherwise your MP will not
count it as valid.

It only takes as long as it takes you to type it and costs you
nothing. So no matter how frequently you use Windermere, please get
faxing and let the government know the strength of feeling out there...

Nick @ Norfolk?
- why should we campaign for speedboats to cut up one of our beautiful Lakes
for the likes of you?
Outsiders only visit this area with the aim of disrupting our sedate way of
life.

I, as a Cumbrian don't want the Lake district turning into a pseudo lane of
the M6.

I'm sure that there are plenty of watercourses near to Norfolk where you can
display your skills. So get stuffed.

If Windermere is anything like the Dutch De Kaag lakes, half a dozen
yobs in over powered boats ruin the pleasure of thousands of other
boaters.

In other parts of the Netherlands, areas are marked with buoys for
water skiers, who stick to these areas and upset nobody.

I wish speed boaters would do the same in France. Fortunately there
aren't many of them, but they're a nuisance when they're around - and
I'm in a 14 tonne steel craft.
