Since 1999, Lotus Designs Ambassador Jon Bowermaster has been following
a circuitous path - sea kayaking around the

world, one continent at a time, reporting on both the health of the
world's oceans and the lives of those who live and depend

on the sea. His OCEANS 8 project - funded primarily by the National
Geographic Expeditions Council - has thus far taken him to

the Aleutian Islands, down the coast of Vietnam, to the heart of the
South Pacific, into South America's driest desert, up the

coast of Gabon in West Africa and along Croatia's Dalmatian coast. The
most surprising thing he and his teams have

discovered? Just how much the world's coastal population - nearly 3
billion people - have in common.

Join us at Patagonia for a slide show and stories about Jon's
