The Tern, Chessie and Merganser should all fit you, but depending on
your leg length and preferred seating position, footroom in the
Merganser may be tight. As for the Chessie, the 17 LT is likely to be a
better fit. The standard Ch17 is huge.

I have no experience with the other boats you list.

The Osprey standard has a bit more volume than the Arctic Tern so that would
work as well. The Pygmy site indicates that the Queen Charlotte standard is
for paddlers up to 6'2"/220 lbs. The also make an XL version though. It's
huge.

Suggest you check out the VOLKSKAYAK at www.volkskayak.com - Gerry Gladwin
has several mods that are just for big guys - the Biog Fellow and the Sumo -
you'll find Gerry endlessly helpful, and the VK is a great boat. I've built
two of 'em, and love 'em.

Rick

Remember that the Pygmy Arctic Tern is available in a high volume
version. It works nicely for me at 6'2", 34 inch inseam, 250 pounds,
size 13 feet. Easy build too.
