Saw it. The scenes of sailing round the Horn were fantastic. The story
itself did not translate well to the screen: Maturin was completely wrong
for a start

Just from a non sailor's point of view, the accuracy of things on board
seemed pretty well done. I haven't read any of the novels, but think I
will.

books are far better. agree Maturing character lame. worth seeing though I
just don't think it'll will have popular appeal to general public, unless
your a big Russel Crowe fan
