need information on sailng-am newbie

Greetings-
I am interested in sailing. In fact fascinated. Its about all I think
about lately.
I am wondering what book to read on sailing around the world that
talks about routes, and winds and what not, a primer basically. Ahats
the best sailing book for a newb? Thanks!
