QM2 in Newport RI - QM2-10-07.JPG (1/1)
Thanks Fafar, Nice photo. QE3 was built in France and entered service in January 2004 and is the largest, longest, widest, tallest and most expensive passenger liner in history. Her 35 years older fleet sister QE2 arrived in Belfast this afternoon on her farewell Ireland and UK tour. I was attending family business in the country and did not return until after dark so was unable to get a photograph. She is departing tonight for Greenock in Scotland where she was launched. A fireworks display will mark the QE2`s departure. QE2 was in Newport RI on 17th September (If you got a photo of her then I would be pleased if you would post it) and will make one more voyage to the USA arriving in New York on 16th October. QE2 has been sold by Cunard and will anchor in Dubai on 27th November to begin life as a floating hotel. Regards, Tuppence |

Regards, Tuppence I saw her as we were going over the Newport Bridge, forgot the camera that day! DOH From where the QM2 was anchored you could almost reach out and touch her. I was in a rush or I would have taken some snaps of the boats shuttling the passengers to shore. Maybe next time. |
