Alternate way of participating in the new group.....

In their "infinite wisdom" my ISP (verizon) has decided to cut everyone
out of the "alt.*" lists in lieu of giving us "the big 8"
http://www.big-8.org/

Does anyone know of a way to maintain my access to this group short of
subscribing to yet another greedy company that will take my money and
not provide the service? (Yeah, I'm just a little upset.)

If not, while I've contributed little, I've enjoy this group of people
and the photos, tremendously and I'll miss it.

Feel free to respond by email if you any ideas and adesire to share them.

Thanks,
~~Richard

This group is carried by teranews. I have been using them for free
for 8 or more years. A small set up fee of 4 bucks US is all now that
is required.

Anything I try to type about Verizon and their latest "protect the
children" campaign turns into a rant.

I'll look into teranews, thanks

Teranews works fine for me - a bit clunky at first, but I worked through
it and am now on teranews. I had to delete news.verizon because my
reader kept trying to open it though I'd checked teranews as the default
server. shrug

Thanks very much for the tip
