The M/S ANTA run aground by her bow during a mooring maneuver, then the
current took her stern across the river where she also run aground. She broke in the middle and blocked the whole river. For around 14 days, all traffic between Antwerp and Ghent (the route to France) had to divert via Terneuzen (see the green arrows on the map) |
