Georgia Strait - much of this traffic is from lumber mills on the lower
Fraser to the paper mill at Crofton on Vancouver Island

I was on a plane arriving at YVR (Vancouver International Airport) from
Toronto - many more pics from that jaunt on flickr but this is the only one
with on topic material for this group.

And I am embarrassed to admit the spelling error in the subject - now
corrected

It is referred to here as woodchips or more often just "chips" - or
sometimes "hogfuel". It is going to a paper mill at Crofton on Vancouver
Island where it is used as both feedstock and fuel. The paper also comes
back on (different) barges for loading on to deep sea vessels.
