Default Ship - STOLT BASUTO 3-20a.jpg

Chemical tanker passing by Port Herman, MD at the end of March.

The land I was standing on in March to take this picture was part of
an old Boy Scout retreat that was closed about 5 years ago but was
kept open to the public for fishing. In April , the Boy Scouts sold
the property for almost 1M to a private individual , about 2 acres
with a fantastic view. Now no trespassing signs are posted all over
the place and another water access point has been gobbled up for
private use . I understand the new owner plans to put a single house
on the lot .

I wish I would have gone there more often.

It's a shame that we are loosing more and more public space.

Along the Chesapeake Bay less then 5% of the land is open to the
public .

I wonder about shipyards around the U.S. giving way to residential and
commercial uses.

In WWII, those shipyards were key to our "Victory at Sea", in the
Atlantic and the Pacific.
