Default Tug - SALLY 6-14a.jpg

The second shot didn't show up last night. I like the way the heat
plume from the engine smears the background like ground glass. The
bow wave and wake are perfectly matched and the beach and background
together with the current in the river capture the motion.

A really nice picture of a really nice tug.

Plus, lots of old tires.

Thanks very much Bob . I too like the engine exhaust waves .

They keep a nice fleet of tugs .

Many people don't realize that those are actually old truck tires .
They are large up close .

When I take images of ships or tugs I try to capture the blend of
high horsepower technology and tonnage with
pleasent scenery and attempt to create an image which will put the
viewer in the same mmod I was in when I took the shot .

I hope that makes sense .
