NL - Amsterdam Sail 2010
 
Yet again hard to give a description, there's just too much going on in
these pictures.... We're waiting to pass through the bridge, which resulted
in a great bottleneck...

Pic 10 shows crewmembers of the Stedemaeght on the bowsprit, equiped with a
loudhailer to scare off all the dinghies and assorted craft that try to
sail past (under the bowsprit) while the captain of the Stedemaeght was
doing his best not to hit his neighbours. Do the math: Stedemaeght just
keeping clear of the stern of the 'Holland' (see pic 19) while almost
everyone was trying to get in between.... I guess the captains of the
larger ships ended up with some extra grey hairs...

Pic 12 shows a speedboat equipped with a keyboard and soundsystem. They
gave away quite a show...
