Hello joevan,

This is an old navy tug of the Royal Netherlands Navy.It was commisioned in
1932 and entered service in app. 1936. She stayed in service until 1990!
Although the first intention to put her out o service dates from 1948.
However the Navy Yard needed a vessel to generate and supply heat for the
vessels in dock. She stayed on until 1990.

After decommision she's been completely restored, including her steam
boilers.

You can check: http://www.y8122.nl/ it has the option to translate in
english with google. Hope the translations will turn out to be readable in
english. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks for the response. It is great to see some of the old things
still working. I have always been fascinated by big old steam engines
and walking beams etc.
