I couldn't fix it on my home computer.
I tried installing Outlook from my MS Offics setup disk, but
couldn't find anything related to newsgroups.

But "DOH!", slapping forehead - try the laptop?

Sure enough has Outlook Express preinstalled and working.

And boy, is that a pain in the rear to operate.
But the paintings I've seen so far make it worth while.

So thanks, squeegees!

Now, maybe someone could recommend a better news agent
that can do this more automatically???

Richard

I've been using agent for 10 years or more and no problems. Good luck
with your quest.

Its not that difficult, select all files, rightclick mouse en choose combine
and decodede, thats it.
Than choose "save as" and you can choose your folder where you want to store
your pictures.
So not every time one picture, but the whole bunch in one time.

Select ALL of 'em at the same time?
If that works, then I was definitely doing it the slow way...one at a time.

All what?

I hope you mean segments to the same file, as opposed
to ALL files ... if you join all files, they then become part
of one post ...

I suppose it's easier to save them that way, as long as
you know which you want to save ... I save each one
individually ... it's set up to go to the folder of choice ...

I want to save the whole posting of Squeegees, so I select all files end
choose for combine and decode.
Than put the pics in the folder I want.
If I don't like pictures I can remove them from the folder.

Never mind ... I take it you mean segments to the same
file ...

I would think how one joins segments would depend
on the news reader one is using ... but have always
used Agent so don't know how it's done in any other
program ...

You saw the screenprints, thats the way I do it in Outlook Express.
