Newbie looking for outboard recommendation
 

Want to build an 8' hydroplane with my 13 year old. Looking for an
outboard 10 hp (the law for him). Want to keep it cheap if possible.
Any recommendations? I see lots of talk on here about motors I know
nothing about. Are there any books, websites, magazines that I could
use to learn something about the technical aspects of go fast motors
and making stock outboards go faster?
