The term moorage is commonly used when refering to a manner of tying up a boat, not limited to a mooring bouy. OK, moring slip. My comment remains unchanged. $2300+ to tie up a 26 foot boat is nuts. There must be no competition there. "SAIL LOCO" wrote in message ... boat is nuts. There must be no competition there. There is plenty of competition here. For the slips on Lake Washington. Not many place that you can moor in fresh water but have access to sal****er and the ocean. Not to mention the great sailing in the Puget Sound area. Until recently WA had more boats per capita of any of the US states. It's no wonder when everyone in western WA is either on the water front or within a couple miles of great water sports activities. Cruising is great (albeit limit to about 4-5 months/yr). You could cruise a life time here and never actually have to go out in the ocean and still have a different anchorage and experience night. Wrong group for this kinda post, I know. Steve s/v Good Intentions ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup. I agree that this is a bit off-topic, but I'd be happy if I could get a rate
that low in the Fort Myers Beach, FL area at a marina. I'm paying over $350 a month for my 28.5, but I do have the option to stay on the boat when I'm in the area. "Steve" wrote in message ...
