It is a blowing fool! http://www.echo-usa.com/product.asp?...ry=POWERBLOWER Of course, part of the deal is that I have to do the work myself and not hire folks to do it for me. Oh well, that's life! The kid across the street who does lawn work just bought that one - loves it. Because of my back problems, I had him clean up the lawn this week and man that thing can move some leaves. Back when we still had horsies, cows, sheep and stuff, I had one of these. http://www.trac-vac.com/index_files/Truckloader.htm I had it mounted on steel frame which hooked up to the FAST three point hitch on my Super M. I could clean out a stall in nothing flat with that thing. Then, when leaf time came around, it was mounted on my then Kubota lawn tractor - clean the lawn in nothing flat. Gotta love lawn and garden equipment. :) We pay a few dollars more in taxes and the county picks up our leaves three times each fall. This year the first pickup was Nov 3rd, and hardly any leaves had fallen. The next two days saw the oaks begin a rapid color change, and now the leaves are coming down. A lot of the commercial guys use this Echo, so I figured it would do a pretty good job. It *is* a blowing fool. Echo makes good gear, but I've never been over impressed with their chain saws. I've gone through a couple and they never ran right - constantly clogged filters, ran rough and not a lot of raw power. I have a Solo 36" bar chain saw now that is unstoppable. It's a Husqvarna clone made in Germany, but that thing will saw some wood. Like freakin' butter. I've got two bars for it depending on what needs cutting. Can't use it for a while though - which is too bad, I've got a huge oak that has core rot which I'd like to take down this Winter. Oh well... |
