Didn't go boating this weekend. (curses... foiled again!)

I'd really like to go out and burn up some of this cheaper fuel, but
the weather this morning was too breezey and in the low 50's. right
now it's warming up and will probably be in the mid or high 60's yet
this afternoon. Tomorrow, we've got too much activity coming down,
so....

Besides, the wife decided to go to St. Louis and dink around for the
day.

Better then coming down with pneumonia.

Oh well. Even though the days are shortening rapidly, Hopefully
there's next weekend.

Not knowing what the weather would do during our 10 day NE trip we had
our boat pulled out, winterized and wrapped before we left.

Who knows..........the temp may be back into the 80's next week with
calm water.

My next boat will have OB's. ;-)

Jim, I had considered outboards, but with a limited toy budget, I
always considered older I/o's for their fuel economy. Yeah, I know, on
a runabout they take up valuable space inside, but the compatible 2
cycles would drink about twice the fuel. Of course, I'm not talking
about modern 2 cycles, but the old mercury "tower of power", and
"Vulcan-4" evinrudes etc. If the price is right I may consider an
outboard in the future myself.

The new 4 stroke outboards will do better than an I/O. In this market
you might be able to "steal" a B/M/T from a guy who changed his mind
about his boat.

That's always a consideration.

Some silly fools think eating is better than boating.

Well.......

Got kind of cool last night. air hovering in the low 40's. I dont'
know how warm it's going to get today. If it can make it to the high
60's I *might* consider hitting the water today. Or I might consider
winterizing the thing and being done with it.

I'm in the 'same boat'!
I've been holding out for one more cruise in the Yukon, but it has turned
cold here. Can't even get my son , who's home visiting from Vancouver,
interested in boating for an afternoon. This week will tell the
tale.......to fish or cut bait..or in my case boat or winterize.
