Default Used boat parts?

I learned a lot about cars at such yards. I think they charge the $1
for liability reasons. The $1 acknowledges that you are paying to be
there. In anycase, the best part of those types of yards is you pull
everything yourself. So before I undertook an extensive disassembly of
anything on my car I would go to such a yard and "practice" on their
cars. I spent a lot of days of my teen years just walking around such
yards with a couple of tools in my hand.
