I had to drop the wife off at her mother's nursing home and
finally got on
the road at 1100 hrs.
Reached the launch ramp in Mahone Harbour, Mahone Bay at about
1230hrs and
quickly got underway...too quickly, as I left my digital camera,
binoculars
and cell phnoe on the truck seat.
Talked to a boat returning and he advised me the water had been
like glass
earlier but the wind had picked up making the water rougher.
I cranked up all 25 horses and left the harbour behind as I
headed south
east past Loye Island to my port and Hermans Island to my
starboard. next i
turned east, north & west to circle Backman Island, which has a
nice little
beach and cove for anchoring. After circling a lone sailboat , I
dipped down
south west, changing to northg to checkout the anchoring
cove/beach on
Coveys Island.
Next it was a streach of open water so I could pass through the
very shallow
water between small Goat island and Rous Island. keeping Sheep
island on my
starboard, I headed north west to Andrews Island where I beached
the Yukon
and went ashore for a bit. Lastly i played around the outer
reached of
Mahone harbour for a bit and retrieved the boat around 1500 hrs.
Since I am a member of the Mahone Islands Conservation
Association, I wanted
to see the protected (from development) islands up close.
http://www.mahoneislands.ns.ca/news/inthenews.shtml
Sure wish I had my camers with me...I could have shown the stark
contrast
between the beautiful islands still in their natural state and
the ones all
tore up by the CFA summer crowd with their overscale houses, hugh
rock walls
etc.

Sounds like a great time. Wish you'd taken your camera. What is
the 'CFA
summer crowd'? Are they the Americans you accused of ruining the
islands
the last time you brought this up?

Oh, and since you brought up family, how is your mom doing? Hope
all is
well. Do you ever take your son on these excursions? He'd probably
enjoy
getting out.

Nice report. Keep 'em coming!

Ah Johnny.........
you are correct for once...the majority of people who buy up and
strip the islands are summering Americans.
Bull****...sounds like another Harrytale to me.

My son works for a living , so he can't come out on a Friday.
Glad to hear that bit of news. When did he start? I'll bet you're
relieved
as hell.

As for weekends, he seems to prefer running around with his
friends......... hard to believe eh?
No.
He's still at home so he's hardly working "for a living". He's
working for a few bucks to blow with his buddies - and ignoring Dad
in the process.

Don't you worry about dad. I've got a good bit of Scottish, Welsh and
Dutch blood in me.
We're no nonsense when paying your way is concerned.

Too much Scotch, if you don't mind an unbiased opinion.

Good point. Now the lazy son is the breadwinner? What next?

Don,
You really need to start obeying Harry better, he is getting ****ed off

All three of you? Do you deny any collusion to bring about the demise of

Remember, Harry referred to the 'five of us' watching the action.

You'll have to talk to Harry about that.
Remember, my goal was to clean this place up and flush out the numerous

As far as Chucks place... I went there with high expectations after tiring

Then one of your drones 'invited' us back here before your private army

You can't answer a question about collusion? Did Harry forbid you from
doing so?

Orders? That's a myth of the trio's creation. I've given no orders.

He's full of ****, John, or just delusional. I'm sure WAFA has emailed

What do you think of Harry cross posting OT political cut and paste into
3 to 5 unrelated NG's?
Do you really expect a truthful answer? Gotta follow the *party* line.

Why does this concern either of you? Neither of you discuss boats, other
than to snipe at the boats of others. Reggie doesn't even have the balls
to post detailed photos of his boat, and you know what, I can't recall you
ever discussing your boat or posting photos of it.

This is not a boating newsgroup. What difference does it make what is
discussed here...or not, or whether posters from "non-boating" newsgroups
pop in here?

"Unrelated newsgroups." What a laugh. Guitars, travel trailers, cloned
grandchildren, golf, diaper cruises, old military farts discussing their
glory days. What the hell does any of that have to do with "rec.boats"?

And your boy Reggie is the one who did the most to bring rec.boats down to
where it is.

So...

You have shorter memory than I thought.

If WAFA was sincere about his intentions he wouldn't post here, he would
behave at Chuck's place, and he would be a prominent poster at
thehulltruth. He's a narcissistic instigator and nothing less.

Here, for you and your owner/master's edification, show me where your
name is mentioned......:

Wafa and Salty have nothing to add here but hate and bull****...

During the big Chuckie event, those of us that were left decided not
to answer "any" of Harry's trolls, boating or otherwise. It worked
great, one day I posted a link showing some 50 unanswered trolls by
wafa in just a few hours. The group was doing fine until two very
prominent figures came back and decided they could reach out and
select certain posts to answer, but it soon fell apart.. Now that
both
have realized the futile nature of the task, one has left and the
other is finally on board...

I suggest we see if we can get back to letting Harry and Salty talk
to
themselves, I will be totally ignoring both Harry and Salty for one
week from today. If others join in, we might have a chance. Even
folks
like you Tim, should give it a try, if only for a week. If it doesn't
work, go on back to picking and choosing your posts to him, but give
it a try for a week and see what happens..

Who else will put their name on the list of us who are "in" for one
week. I will start... Sign up below.

I pledge not to engage Harry or Salty (could be the same person) for
one week starting today. I will not mention them in any post, I will
not mention them in any way, insulting or otherwise.

With Hanna expected here Sunday, I decided to take advantage of a
beautiful
warm sunny day. There's been way too few this summer.... wettest
August
on
record says the weatherman.
I had to drop the wife off at her mother's nursing home and finally
got
on
the road at 1100 hrs.
Reached the launch ramp in Mahone Harbour, Mahone Bay at about 1230hrs
and
quickly got underway...too quickly, as I left my digital camera,
binoculars
and cell phnoe on the truck seat.
Talked to a boat returning and he advised me the water had been like
glass
earlier but the wind had picked up making the water rougher.
I cranked up all 25 horses and left the harbour behind as I headed
south
east past Loye Island to my port and Hermans Island to my starboard.
next
i
turned east, north & west to circle Backman Island, which has a nice
little
beach and cove for anchoring. After circling a lone sailboat , I
dipped
down
south west, changing to northg to checkout the anchoring cove/beach on
Coveys Island.
Next it was a streach of open water so I could pass through the very
shallow
water between small Goat island and Rous Island. keeping Sheep island
on
my
starboard, I headed north west to Andrews Island where I beached the
Yukon
and went ashore for a bit. Lastly i played around the outer reached of
Mahone harbour for a bit and retrieved the boat around 1500 hrs.
Since I am a member of the Mahone Islands Conservation Association, I
wanted
to see the protected (from development) islands up close.

Sure wish I had my camers with me...I could have shown the stark
contrast
between the beautiful islands still in their natural state and the
ones
all
tore up by the CFA summer crowd with their overscale houses, hugh rock
walls
etc.

Sounds like a great time. Wish you'd taken your camera. What is the
'CFA
summer crowd'? Are they the Americans you accused of ruining the
islands
the last time you brought this up?

Oh, and since you brought up family, how is your mom doing? Hope all
is
well. Do you ever take your son on these excursions? He'd probably
enjoy
getting out.

Nice report. Keep 'em coming!

Ah Johnny.........
you are correct for once...the majority of people who buy up and strip
the
islands are summering Americans.

No.

My son has been working since high school. Paid his half of tuition and
100%
of books etc all through university.
Graduated not owing a penny.
He has been working for his current company for 11 months now. I'm proud
of
him.

Good deal. I'm proud for you, Don.

Congrats to you as well as he.
