To me people are people. I don't classify them by their skin color and
it has been proved that blood is blood regardless of the skin color of
the body the blood came from.

I wasn't being accusatory. *I was just stating, historically, if you had
one drop of black blood, you were considered black. *The remnants of Jim
Crow is still alive and well in this country.

With advances in DNA testing, a lot of people are getting a big
surprise. An awful lot of white people whose families have been in the
US for many generations are finding out they have blood relatives who
are decidedly not caucasian.

My great grand parents were american indian, french, english, irish
and german.
so......

So for the most caucasion with a great-grand father that was american
indian, so I guess I'm Indian if the one-drop rule applies.

No, you are Native American. Remember we must be politically correct.

It doesn't, and didn't. The "One Drop Rule" only applies to blacks.
Note the "Pocahontas exception".

Why did you bring it up?

I didn't, you did, indirectly.

"He's half black and half white. How can he claim exclusive identity with
just one race?"

If I remember correctly, and I think I do because the congressional
record will prove me correct, "Jim Crow" was a product of Southern
Democrats and it took Republicans to pass Civil Rights legislation back
in the '60's. Amazing that all of those Democrats from the South
couldn't be counted on by Johnson to put into law that people are
people.

Yeah, but don't pat yourself on the back too much. In '64, those
southern states may have been blue, but now, they are red.

Up here the local native Indians avoid taxes also. To save that 13% on
every purchase would be nice.
I don't care about cheap smokes or liquor. I believe you have to live on a
reservation to avoid income tax.

Tiger woods is more asian than black.
An then there's Halle Berry's famous "women of color" speech at the
Oscars:

Interesting how it only becomes and issue when they *need* it to be

"they"??
You're gonna be in for a world of hurt when "they" have one of their
own as president and when "they" outnumber white folk in the US.
(projected by 2012 re Montel Williams)
Time to start sharing that big income you brag about.

You haven't talked to Hispancs lately have you?

When did I ever "brag" about my income, Donny? Are you basing it on the
fact that my boat simply cost more than yours and I bought it new???

And, WAFI, since I have probably hired more black people than you have
in your entire town, I have to question what your point is regarding my
use of the word "they".
