MoveOn.org solicitation
MoveOn.org is soliciting members to send letters to newspapers whining
about Sarah Palin. Part of their solicitation goes like this: "One of the best ways to get the word out about Palin is to write a letter to the editor of your local paper. Today's a great day to write because this is very relevant--it just happened last night. Plus, our online tool makes it easy and has great tips. It wasn't a decision about who's most qualified to serve a heart-beat away from the presidency--it was a political decision about pleasing the far-right base of the Republican party." They make it very easy to send a letter to many newspapers. So I did. Maybe you'll feel like doing the same. Here's an example: **************************************** Subject: Move-on.Org Move-on.org is soliciting letters to the editor through emails to members. The organization is hoping to get newspapers such as yours to carry many letters opposed to Sarah Palin and her positions. Move-on.org assumes that you will print all these letters, perhaps because they consider you biased. But, we know better. Don't we? ******************************************* |
