McCain flips and flops more than the egg turner at Waffle House. Some of this may be because he simply has changed his mind, which is reasonable, and some of it may be because he simply cannot remember from one day to the next what the position du jour is. He's old, he's tired, he's repetitive, and he is way, way past his prime. We don't need to elect a president cast in the mold of GWB, a man like McCain who will turn out to be an incompetent leader, a president with terrible judgment who makes lousy decisions. If the country hasn't been in a coma the last eight years, it will not elect John McBush, er, McSame, er, McCain. |

That's not the group that Obama is alienating. The majority of jobs in the US is in small, private companies. For the most part, a "big" corporate culture doesn't exist and the owners are typically the major (or only) stockholder. These companies have a relationship with the employees quite different than that you complain about and typically have no interest in unions, employees or employer. This workforce is the group that Obama will not appeal to with his promises, and they represent the majority of voters. Eisboch |

The later is key - the Democrats in this state avoided Ned Lamont like the Plague too - and look what happened to him. Add that the Clintons aren't being very visible or open about endorsing BarryO, the new questions about his heritage (as in registering at a Indonesian Catholic School as a Muslim), the fact that the Arab world will view him as an apostate, heretic and unclean making his job harder to deal with them (which is gaining some momentum among the smarter Democrats). You know what's even funnier about all this? All this stuff I've just talked about has come from Democratic sources, blogs, comments and one forum I read fairly regularly - none of which are exactly ...um... moderately leftist in nature. :) It might be actually worth watching. |

The head is not where Vlad put the pike, and the victims were alive at the time. Not really a pike in his case, the proper stake is as high as the navel, greased, and tapers from four inches at the ground to a rounded point like half a golf ball. There is a reason that the Constitution prohibits cruel and unusual punishments. Casady Damn you, why did you have to give Harry any more ideas. I am glad Harry will never have any power, he could be very dangerous. Do you ever make a post without mentioning Harry? I didn't bring Harry into this post. Harry said he was looking forward to the time when the people revolt and stick the powerful head on a pike. It reminded me of Vlad the Impaler, who would impale his enemies with a pike. When someone mentioned the procedure they used, I didn't want to give Harry any ideas. Now, what do you think of someone who SAID "I do so wish I were younger sometimes, so that when the exploited finally realize they've been getting screwed for generations, I could see some of the heads they put on pikes." I find it sick, don't you? |
