One poll, but there is no question Obama has to cut McCain's nuts off on
the important issues if he hopes to win. McCain is playing dirty
already, and if Obama insists on being the "new, nice candidate," he
will lose.

McCain is vulnerable on every issue. Time to set him on fire and watch
him burn up.

Sounds like Obama's education while in Chicago was severely lacking.

I like this line:

"There is no doubt the campaign to discredit Obama is paying off for McCain
right now," pollster John Zogby said. "This is a significant ebb for
Obama."

One must wonder how Obama, who never had any credit, is discredited.

Let's see - no voting record as a State Senator from Illinois, no
record of accomplishments as a "community organizer", no scholarly
articles as a "constitutional scholar" while Professor of
Constitutional Law, no written opinions while Chief of Harvard Law
Review, refuses to release his birth records, refuses to release his
dissertation, refuses to release any of his academic records, will not
release his records from his work with Bill Ayers, known American
terrorist, while at the Annenberg Foundation, known associate of a
Chicago "developer" and possible Mob money launderer and finally, a
liar about his involvement in government sponsored infanticide and has
no voting record beyond earmark legislation as a US Senator and
infanticide and will not debate his opponent in an open forum for fear
of showing just how empty that suit really is.

That's up against a very public record, genuine war hero, genuine
political bipartisian, man of unuanced principle, valor and honor and
a 26 year record that's well documented including legislation of
import and impact.

You wonder why?

John McCain. Flip-flopper, panderer, lost his bipartisanship a long time
ago, and is now a Bush suck up, man of questioned principles, war record
irrelevant. Oh, and four more years of Buschitt.

Yet another reason not to vote for him. I hope McCain picks Lieberman
and Obama picks Biden. Biden would kick Lieberman's nuts off in a debate.

Obama won't pick Biden. Shark in the swimming pool.

He might play it safe and select .... gulp .... the Hillary.

Speaking of Joe, why did he drop his presidential bid in 1987?

Seems like some of the same stuff would be used against him when running

I like Biden, but Obama would be making a mistake picking him. He has a
history of putting his foot in his mouth, a distraction Obama doesn't
need.

Indeed he does...but he is a charmer, the ladies like him, he's smart,
and the Senator from Indiana and the Governor of Virginia put me to
sleep, competent as they are. Obama could surprise us all and pick my
first choice for president, Hillary. That seems unlikely.

I remember watching and listening to Biden many years ago. He struck me as
being an egotistical bad ass, fresh from his law practice days, an
observation apparently shared by others, even in his own party, because he
was not always well received by his peers.

Over the years, he seems to have calmed down a bit and has learned how the
system works by working more with his colleagues and sharing credit.
Occasionally though, you see a flash of the old Biden, and it isn't pretty.

I think it may be becoming more and more possible. He and his advisors
can't help but to notice his slippage of late, and the act is getting
ho-hum.
He may be forced to do something radical.

Well, Hillary was and is my first choice. If she's second banana, that's
ok with me. I think Obama would make a terrific president, but as I
stated previously, I don't think he has the stomach to compete in the
dirt-tossing elections the Republicans have brought us. Hillary has more
balls than any other politician I've ever watched, with the possible
exception of Richard Nixon.

Watch Biden on C-Span when he's questioning a Republican - any Republican.
He's still very much an egotistical, self-annunciated bad ass, or so he
thinks. I've no respect for someone who will take advantage of his position
to deliberately try to belittle others simply because of their politics.
