My guess is the results reflect those who stumbled upon the page and spent the time to enter in the pass code. It is not a scientific poll. As time said, FWIW (not much). I've been on gun discussion boards where posters claim they and their buddies completely reversed polls in a few hours with thousands and thousands of "votes." AOL doesn't care...the more hits on its servers for these polls, the happier AOL is. I'm not convinced any of the national polls have much significance yet. The state polls are far more interesting. Most of the non-aligned polls that keep track of state results have Obama ahead by anywhere from 70 to well over 100 electoral college votes. |
