FWIW (not much) http://news.aol.com/political-machin...oll-aug-11-18/ The republicans are AOL poll stuffing again. What a surprise. -- If you want to talk boating or fishing, you're in the wrong place. rec.boats is the domain of the Seven Little Schitts, who mostly talk trash. The current members are "Reggie," Loogy, Florida Jim, DK, BAR and JohnH, and alternates Mike and an occasional floater. Try thehulltruth.com or other properly moderated discussion boards if you want to talk about boats. |

Just curious. Eisboch An AOL poll would be very very low on the list of priorities of the RNC. My guess is the results reflect those who stumbled upon the page and spent the time to enter in the pass code. It is not a scientific poll. As time said, FWIW (not much). Nothing more, nothing less. |

Just curious. Eisboch Experience with Republican conservatives on gun discussion boards. Anytime an internet survey pops up that impacts gun owners, the word goes out to every gun board to log onto the site and swamp the survey. Works every time. |

I don't see how someone can make so many posts at 2:45 pm. uncanny |

I've been on gun discussion boards where posters claim they and their buddies completely reversed polls in a few hours with thousands and thousands of "votes." AOL doesn't care...the more hits on its servers for these polls, the happier AOL is. I'm not convinced any of the national polls have much significance yet. The state polls are far more interesting. Most of the non-aligned polls that keep track of state results have Obama ahead by anywhere from 70 to well over 100 electoral college votes. |

I mean, AOL alone will allow you to have 6 email's or at least used to. and I'm sure there's somebody pumping the polls for all their worth. But I'm still trying to figure out how "voice of reason" can make so many posts in one minute, unless they already have their "speech" lined out and cut 'n paste every 10 seconds or so. interestingly uncanny |

Uh-huh. |
