Nice post. I am also enjoying my 59 year semi retired by choice, cruising the
Mahone Bay area from May until October, living on the water in a power cruiser. Don you should come down this weekend the Tankook Island Festival is on, we will be tied up with a few other boats and the cue's will be on and the cold beers will be flowing. We bring our own KEG. "John H." wrote in message ... That's not to say Eisboch is wrong or a bad guy for what he's doing. Hell, if he gets a lot of enjoyment in his discussions with Harry, then he should go for it! John, this newsgroup used to be a lot of fun to participate in, sharing boating experiences and knowledge, along with OT subjects of common interest and, most of all to me, the humor. For those reasons, I enjoyed it, including even some of the disagreements and debates with Harry over the years. But, it has changed. And the change isn't good. The "digs" used to be light-hearted and humorous. They have become viscous and uncontrolled, void of any mature consideration for the recipient. I'll tell you, I've enjoyed it for the past 13 years, but as I approach my 59th birthday and I observe the changes, I am starting to ask myself, why? I really don't want to rush the degenerative process of age by starting to act like a 12 year old prematurely. So, I'll stick it out for a bit longer, hoping the humor and light hearted banter, respect and courtesies demonstrated by some prevails along with boating stories and even some politics . If not, it's adios time before I get totally sucked in. BTW, wealth isn't all about money. Eisboch |
