What's the point?

The guy seems to have a problem displaying (or wearing) the American
Flag. *Makes you wonder why.

Maybe he finds it superficial. A true patriot shows his love of
country by actions.
Did you notice McCain's tailwing isn't displaying the flag?

Maybe Larry is on to something.
If either or both start displaying the pyramid with 'all seeing eye', you
know you're in trouble.

McCain has clearly shown he loves this Country with his actions. I
have no idea what Loogy is talking about (what else is new?)

The removal of the flags by Obama is just another indicator on the
type of person he really is and is not one to be the CEO of the USA.

Jim, it isn't that he "removed the flags." The plane repainters removed
the trademark of the company that leased the plane to Obama. That
decorative flag on the tail was part of the leasing company's trademark.
There is still a U.S. flag painted on each side of the plane.

None of this has anything to do with anything, of course. I'd read or
seen nothing that indicates McCain "loves" this country any more than
Obama or any other politician. Neither McCain's military service or his
imprisonment have anything to do with whether he is "suited" to be the
next president.

BTW, the US and Iraq are close to a deal that would require all US
troops to be withdrawn from Iraqi cities and be situated on based by
next June.

So much for McCain's never-ending war.

Just to keep a steady course here (boating reference) let's not forget that
McCain never talked about a never-ending war.
To the contrary.

Let's try to keep the spin somewhat accurate.

Yeah, right. McCain wants an almost never ending war. Better?

It matters not...the Iraqis have adopted Obama's timetable. They want
our combat troops off their streets and back on U.S. bases next year,
and they want U.S. troops out of Iraq by 2010.

Hear about the sentence handed down to Hamdan?

Osama bin Laden's former driver was sentenced on Thursday to five and a
half years in prison at the conclusion of the first trial of a terror
suspect by special military commission at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The sentence, far below the 30 years to life sought by the US
government, means that Salim Hamdan of Yemen could be eligible for
release in five months after receiving credit for time already served.

The sentence is a double-edged sword for the Bush administration, which
had hoped a harsh sentence in the Hamdan case would send a stern message
to would-be Al-Qaeda sympathizers around the world. But the five-year
sentence also underscores the fairness of the particular military panel
in the Hamdan case, analysts say.

The sentence was handed down by a panel of six military officers,
hand-picked by the Pentagon, who a day earlier rejected US government
arguments that Mr. Hamdan was a terrorist conspirator.

Instead, the panel convicted Hamdan of providing material support to
Al-Qaeda by continuing to serve as a driver and body guard to Bin Laden
– even after he learned the group was involved in terrorism.

Even the military is sick of the Bush Administration, and its pretender
successor, John McCain.

Indeed, the flag depictions that were part of the registered trademark
of the owner of the plane were removed, but "traditional depictions of
the U.S. flag adjacent to the plane's registration numbers remain."

In simple English, the large flag depictions on the plane's tail were
part of North American's logo. The logo and the North American name
were removed from the plane when it was repainted. But there are still
U.S. flags on each side of the plane.

Silliness, Jim. This country is going straight down the tubes, thanks
to eight years of Bush. Wearing or not wearing a flag lapel pin or
displaying it differently on an airplane doesn't matter.

I didn't know that you were one of the one worlders Harry. Seems that
you and the Bush clan have quite a bit in common.

WAFA and Warp17 have evidently emailed each other to start a planned
