"When the levee breaks; there ain't no place to stay"
Here's some pics of the flooding just 50 miles from me. a guy made
this website to show the vastness of the water in Lawrence Co. IL. where I'm origionally from. http://www.stevehardesty.com/ In fact, in the 80's I lived in a small highway community of Westport IL which is on the IL. side of Vincennes Indiana. The Wabash River had three levees break and it naturally went on the Illinois side. http://www.stevehardesty.com/floodpics/042.jpg In this pic, you can see my old two story house which is surrounded by trees. Look at the water level, it's up to the top story window The blue building is the chrysler dealership. I the left is a large yellow building which was the maintenance/ class building for the Vincinnes University Aviation mechanics school and Vincennes University airport. at the top of the pic is the roof of a resteraunt. Fortunately they got all the cars and planes out fo there |

The wife jsut finished her 3rd round of chemo. Had an MRI which looked questionable, so they ordered a mamogram. Found out she has a small cyst showing up, but with testing it proved to be nothing. not cancerous. That's a relief, then thursday she had to dring a jar of barium, go for another test of some sort. we're waiting for the results on that one. Then monday she goes to be measured for radiation treatments on her throat. But the doc's are imressed with her progress. She's tired, sore, cranky but other than that, we're doing ok. Thanks! Tim |

It is perfect for shallow standing water, you can move a lot with it and if the water is flat, almost impossible to flip. It would probably be better for that with a jet drive though. Hey Tim, how about an email update? Don't make me dig up your phone number;) Thinking about you and your family.. |

LOL! Heh - when I was working for Texaco, a hurricane came inshore around Morgan City - no big deal lot's of water - the usual. When we left Morgan City with the drill rig, there was still some water on the road (can't remember the route) and dang if there weren't catfish swimming from one side of the road to the other. One of my buddies used to make the oil run from Venezula to Baltimore on a big tanker - The Mount Vernon Victory. He made a video once of a water spout about a mile off the port side of the Victory taken from the bridge, when all you hear are these thumps - the water spout apparently ran over a pod of squid, picked 'em up and dumped some on the Victory. It was funny watching the squid cover the bridge deck walk. :) |
