Catch it on sale, and put it on the shelf. You're always going to eat.

BTW, I've set up a budge for this years boating. Probably about
$2000.00. that should do me for the year. If the money dissapears
quicker, the boats get put up quicker, too!

Anybody else put boating on a budget?

I will spend more time closer to my dock, and not travel as far up the
lake. When gas was cheap, we would go into the smaller creaks and
rivers enjoying nature. Since I do spend the 2 or 3 nights a week on my
boat, there is still no cheaper bang for the buck.

You mean, that is what you might do *if* you had a boat.

Smaller "Creaks" drive me nuts, very difficult to find, fix, and enjoy
nature. I like frogs though. Ribbit. UD

If you follow the smaller creaks, they will lead you to the smaller creeks.

Now that is funny. There's probably more water there than there is in
Lanier, btw.

:)

Hard to imagine much less enjoyable than spending the night on a boat on
a lake in georgia in the middle of the summer...

*Creeks* are generally not suitable for boating as they are normally
considered small streams. Exceptions may include canoes and rafts.

The definition of creek varies by location. Even with the drought 6
mile creek, and deer river creek could and do hold 1000's of 32-50 ft
boats without any problem.

Check out the "creeks" in the Cheseapeake Bay, you will see many 50 ft.
boats easy navigating the "creeks"
