Tell Tale

Hello

I have a 78 or 79 Evinrude 15hp. I went to pull my boat out yesterday
and hooked up my muffs, started her up and no water came from the Tell
Tale. The manual says that it has a thermostat. My question is How
long should I wait till I see the water? I don’t want to burn my Pops
motor up. Could this be a sign of a bad impeller.

If I remember correctly it came out right away last year.

Thanks

Hoyt

Pull the hose off to the telltale and see if there is water flowing. Bugs
will nest in the hole or some small piece of flotsom can plug up the hole.
