Poor little Loogy... :)

Anyway, it's "catch and release" season, so we caught a few stripers and
then released them, in between the downpours that were supposed to
happen this morning but not this afternoon.

I used a Mann Stretch 25+ as the bottom part of a double rig about 125'
back. It pulled down a 1/2 ounce jig hook with a plastic bait coming off
the other loop of a three way swivel. I'm guessing the Mann bait was
about 30' down in the water column. I worked the front treble hook on
the rig off and didn't replace it. Seemed to tow just fine with only the
rear hook.

There were quite a few guys out there towing heavy rigs and pulling
planer boards. That works, but it's just too much work for me. I like to
fish for sport, not for work. :)

The "catch and keep" season starts next Saturday. It'll be the weekend
to keep clear of the more active boat ramps, what with all the pent-up
"catch a fish" hormones!
