Ship fire off Port Canaveral
On 157.075, "US Coast Guard Station Ponce Inlet" is in comms with
Vessel "Fishhook" that has a fire. CG is advising the captain of the vessel to have people move as far as possible from the fire. He informs that a CG Cutter is en route to the stricken vessel. The Coast Guard is asking what sort of clothes the persons on the vessel are wearing and is trying to get a cell phone number from someone on the vessel to improve communications. The troubled vessel is now Southeast of Palm Coast Marina and is drifting to the Southwest. CG Sta Ponce Inlet comms with the vessel, with other vessels and with a concerned bridge tender are continuing on 157.075. Now the CG Sta informs that the persons aboard the vessel are abandoning the vessel and making their way to a sand bar. Two females are clothed in red towels, one of the men is wearing blue. Makes you wonder if this is a joy ride some politician was taking with some ladies of the night. A volunteer fire department was having a smoke drill in an abandoned house, only they over did it with the smoke - there was a spark and the house blew up. Only you couldn't see it because of all the smoke. The guys getting ready to do the entry for search and rescue were kind of stunned - when the smoke cleared, no house - just this pile of junk. When you slow mo the video, you can see where the house expanded, then just imploded. It suffers from the telling, but it was incredibly funny to watch. |

Eisboch wrote: "Tim" wrote in message ... Thats it! "Fannie" Fox. "Is that you, Wilbur?" I thought Wilbur owned a talking horse. Eisboch Find out the guy was a bad alcoholic. Maybe he DID have a talking horse.. From Wiki: Mills was involved in a traffic incident on October 7, 1974. His car, driven by a former Nixon staffer, was stopped by U.S. Park Police late at night because the driver had not turned on the lights. Mills was intoxicated, and his face was cut from a scuffle with Annabella Battistella, better known as Fanne Fox, a stripper from Argentina. When police approached the car, Foxe leapt from the car and jumped into the nearby Tidal Basin. She was taken to St. Elizabeth's Mental Hospital for treatment. Despite the scandal, Mills was re-elected to Congress in November 1974 in a heavily Democratic year with nearly 60 percent of the vote. He defeated the Republican Judy Petty. In December 1974, Mills, seemingly drunk, was accompanied by Fanne Foxe's husband onstage at a Boston strip club where Ms. Foxe was performing. Soon after this second public incident, Mills stepped down from his chairmanship of the Ways and Means Committee, acknowledged his alcoholism, joined Alcoholics Anonymous, and checked himself into Palm Beach Institute at West Palm Beach. [2] [3] He did not seek re-election in 1976, devoted his time to counseling individual alcoholics, and raising funds for alcoholic treatment centers, including one founded in his honor at Searcy, Arkansas, the Wilbur D. Mills Treatment Center for Alcohol and Drugs. He was succeeded by Jim Guy Tucker. Regardless of which, or what party. It happens. |
