Doesn't mean I can't try. *:) Just anecdotal but I had this with a golfer buddy and we tried it at his golf course driving range. As hard as I tried I couldn't hit a golf ball as far with a softball bat than either of us could with a driver. (tossed up and hit in the case of the bat). The best I cpould do was about 200 yards. I was young and pretty good hitting a softball at the time. It surprised me too. He explained it all has to do with club head speed and the difference in the weight of the balls. He also hit a golf ball farther than a super ball, we only had one super ball so it was a one shot test. I suppose if we hit over concrete the super ball may have bounced farther but the lack of "dimples" cut down on air time. Ahh, but can you place that golf ball within one minute of angle at 100 yards?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I can. It will be within one minute of angle to something. |
