Yeah, it does. Here is how I deal with it, like I tell my kids.
Everyone, without exception here is a sock puppet. Your fake persona
comes up here to interact with my fake persona. Never, ever associate
any sockpuppet with any real person, period. I have met folks here in
this group, outside the group. I don't consider anyone I have met
offline, to be the persons I deal with on line.. What starts in Vegas,
either way, it's only words on a screen, nothing to take seriously at
all...

Some of the most prolific posters to this group have very little
interest in boating. There are personal vendettas here that go back
ten years and more, and many of the people who participate most
frequently in that nonsense don't even make a pretense of having an
interest in boating.

A couple of the worst offenders post their crap to dozens of groups
and list rec.boats as one of a multitude of groups tp which their
political extremism and obnoxious personal remarks are addressed.
These trolls then attract equally disturbed responses from other self-
centered crazies, and the group fills up with posts and threads that
are negative and OT.

Then there are the few who are so self centered that they feel their
personal local weather grants them license to post off topic during
the winter months. After all, if the water is frozen over in East
Bugtussle then there's no possible reason that anybody from any other
geographic region would have the least amount of interest in
discussing a boating related topic, right?

It gets pretty discouraging, but it's just people using the anonymity
found on the internet to behave like boorish little kids and get away
with it. This format brings out the worst in many people, sad to say.

A 36 foot Tiara......very nice!

It's a pretty decent boat. I bought her at a customs auction and spent a
few bucks fixing her up. Looks better than new now at least to me. I
just put in a new sink-refrigerator-bait freezer unit on deck and
replaced a little rotted out baltek under the fiberglass under the
anchor windlass. So far that is the only soft spot of baltek and
probably cause when the windlass was put on theholes were not epoxied on

Tiara is known for producing quality boats and the 36 footer provides a nice
open cockpit area for fishing.

Do you have the open or convertible?

It's a "convertible," though the "top" no longer is "canvas." I had that
removed and a new "top" built out of fiberglass. So now, it is a
"hardtop." What fabric tops do best is deteriorate.

WHY? The only people I don't get along with here is you and Harry.
Why? Because you are both two faced liars that will stoop so low that
you disgust a lot of people here. You will say terrible things about
someone's wife and kids if you need to get the heat off of you for yet
another of your lies.

You'll find that JimH is in a league of his own. He tries (much like
Harry) to act like he's above everyone else. But, (like Harry) if you
call bull**** on any of his lies, he'll start childish name calling,
telling lies about you, insulting and telling lies about your children
and wife, etc. He's done it before, he'll do it again. He's got some
strange ego problems, and he uses his children to bolster that sagging
ego.
You're an odd little guy. You seem to have bad things to write about a

Bingo! Add Reggie and JohnH to the list and you will have identified the
basic trouble makers whose main purpose here is to start fights and
generally act like 12 year olds.- Hide quoted text -

Hmmm, let's see. You bring Reggie and John's name into this discussion
WHY? The only people I don't get along with here is you and Harry.
Why? Because you are both two faced liars that will stoop so low that
you disgust a lot of people here. You will say terrible things about
someone's wife and kids if you need to get the heat off of you for yet
another of your lies.

What an odd little man you are and with issues too.

A 36 foot Tiara......very nice!
It's a pretty decent boat. I bought her at a customs auction and
spent a few bucks fixing her up. Looks better than new now at least
to me. I just put in a new sink-refrigerator-bait freezer unit on
deck and replaced a little rotted out baltek under the fiberglass
under the anchor windlass. So far that is the only soft spot of
baltek and probably cause when the windlass was put on theholes were
not epoxied on the edges.

Tiara is known for producing quality boats and the 36 footer provides
a nice open cockpit area for fishing.

Do you have the open or convertible?

It's a "convertible," though the "top" no longer is "canvas." I had that
removed and a new "top" built out of fiberglass. So now, it is a
"hardtop." What fabric tops do best is deteriorate.

My mistake. I was so involved with changing out the canvas top, I sort
of internalized the concept of convertible versus hardtop. The boat is
the "open" model. Had Harbor Diesel in Long Beach redo the Cat 3208
diesels for me.

Oh - open flybridge?

Those are great boats. I almost bought an '86 a few years back, but
it had deck problems similar to what Topaz had in those same models.

Very nice boats.

Hey, Dr. Phill, you sure took your opportunity to get in a few shots when
you were wooing Parkman. You need friends badly, especially with your
latest spats with Harry. But you should try to earn them honestly.

That would be a switch.
