Harry spends all of his time boating in the bay and small creeks and
rivers, and then only on the very best of days, temperature between
82-88 degrees, less than 5 mph of wind, as long as he can boat on the
leeward side. I can remember him canceling trips due to wind speeds of
15 mph, the moon not being aligned with Mars, and a bad fortune cookie.

If you remember, he said he did most of his fishing 15 minutes from his
boating ramp, so he can make a mad dash back to his ramp, just in case
the water ripples a bit.

Yep, anybody that doesn't have exactly the same boat as Harry has, is
a pussyboater.
Are you a pussyboater when you are plying the waters in your Zimmerman

Actually it's a dumpy looking boat. Just boring looking. I do have one

wheels get burning hot if the sun shines on them?

Mine is stainless and I've never had a problem with that - ever.

I did have a Ranger 205 once that had a black vinyl steering wheel
what got hotter than hell though.

I'd have to search to see if any aluminum boats are produced on the east
coast. A local company talked about a commercial heavy duty type of open
14-16 footer, but told me it would cost quite a bit more than your normal
open fishing types.
My boat was made in Quebec... central Canada.

Yes, our wheel on the lower helm is like that, a real work of art. I
believe the flybridge wheel was replaced by a previous owner for some

May have become weathered beyond repair. The upper helm (shown in the link)
on "Pangea" was quite weathered but still structurally sound when we bought
the boat. One of Kingman's wood guys completely stripped and refinished it
and it came out very nice. The lower helm had been well maintained and
didn't need to be refinished.
