The biggest story here the last two weeks has been a woman and her chickens in my neighbourhood. This even hit a national news program. The local supper hour shows are having a field day and every corny chicken/fowl/bird joke has been dragged out plus legions of people are calling/writing with their opinions. the vast majority say ..leave the hens alone.. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...-reprieve.html Got you beat. We have the Stupor Bowl coming up. I have to admit defeat. To make matters worse down your way, you'll still have to suffer the Pro Bowl & a Hawaii Bowl? Well, I actually don't watch any of them, but when the Stupor Bowl is over, I read an Associated Press headline so I can say with aplomb, "Hey...weren't those (winning descriptor) great!" to those I talk with who bring it up. It's not snobbishness on my part; I simply find watching professional football as boring as watching NASCAR racing, figure skating and professional golf. I do like watching the occasional baseball game, especially in person. Harry, there are two (2) people here who give a ****. One of them has remained silent. -- John H |

How would you relate to "reading," Bilious? Actually I read a lot. Have always enjoyed reading. Just, unlike you, do not do a Walter Mitty. |
