A visit to the local marina, interrupted by...

....took a quick ride over to the local marina, just to see what, if
anything, was happening. Nothing was happening, and the owner had his
bulldozer and loader blocking the big storage area to keep out vandals
and thieves and their vehicles out. Good idea.

Anyway, I walked along the gravel roadway down to the ramps and back,
and noticed the ice in the channel was thick enough to support some
ducks using it as a platform for whatever ducks do this time of year.

All of a sudden, three deer, whitetails, ran right in front of me, maybe
15 feet away, from one side of the marina towards a forest of reeds on
the other side of a boat storage area.

Made my day.

Oh, amazingly, down by the fish cleaning station, there was no "aroma de
dead fish." I guess the smell does dissipate after a few months!

You will find that if you go out in a boat once in a while you start
to not notice it as much...;)

Oh, in the spring, summer and fall down at that marina, the stench alone
near that fish cleaning station would jumpstart Dick Cheney's dead heart.

Again doubtful. My neighbor loves his dog and depends on him to keep things
safe from bad guys. A lion wouldn't survive a conflict with that team.

I'm beginning to feel a little dirty exchanging with you Harry, So if you'll
excuse me I'm going to put you back in your box and take a shower.

In baseball it's a Leftie One Out Guy or alternatively Leftie Only One
Out Guy which could be a right hander. In either case, both are
specialists.

However, in this case it could be a huge gob of spit, a mucus plug
coughed up or snot.

What a low life form of scum you are, JimH. You aren't man enough to
apologize to someone you ****ed on for rightfully trying to steer you
clear of a scam, and you block someone, then call them names. Just
like the little school boy who calls his mates names only when he gets
behind mommy's skirt.

In baseball it's a Leftie One Out Guy or alternatively Leftie Only One
Out Guy which could be a right hander. *In either case, both are
specialists.

Give that man a cigar! JimH was much too stupid to figure it out!
My son's a lefty like me, I assist his Little League team....

bulldozer and loader blocking the big storage area to keep out vandals
and thieves and their vehicles out. Good idea.

Anyway, I walked along the gravel roadway down to the ramps and back,
and noticed the ice in the channel was thick enough to support some
ducks using it as a platform for whatever ducks do this time of year.

I'm heading out after the first springer of the year this
weekend. They may not be in yet but I'm not waiting any
longer dammit.

I am sorely tempted to take the cover off my Ranger and just take it
for a freakin' ride around Fisher's Island Sound. :)

However if I do that, it will freakin' snow.

I hate snow.

Kinda dangerous heading out in the winter in that low-sided,
low-freeboard boat. If you get splashed, you'll get hypothermia, and if
you take a greenie over the bow, you'll sink.

Don't do that I have to fly into Providence Monday morning. I don't want
any snow.

Next time you are up this way and have a spare hour or two, let me
know. I'm only about an hour from TF Green and there are a couple of
good places around there for lunch.
