I wouldn't either, but if you want to pay for my ticket, I will come along. This is what bothers me. If you have the money, you are healthy enough to do it, why not? It's the first step to the stars - revel in it. I'm going to do it - I'm telling you, I'm going to go. At $200k probably not, at $100k very likely. For that kind of throw-away money, I can think of a bunch more earthly pleasures on which to indulge myself. soapbox Of course you could - so can I. But that's here - this is about there. The real point is to go - to see - to experience - the essence of seeing something that very few people have gotten to see first hand. It's the first step to moving beyond this planet and moving to others. If I can be a part of that - a part of the inevitable move to other worlds - moving beyond our planet to others, then I'm going to do it. And I don't give a damn what anybody else thinks. /soapbox Maybe, after I've seen Alaska, the Grand Tetons, Monument Valley, the Petrified Forest and a few other things I've missed. For a few seconds of weightlessness, one could go to King's Dominion. Hell, I'd rather give the $200,000 to the local children's hospital. -- Mackerel Snapper |
