Entertainment will be exclusively supporting Blu-ray, CNET recommends refraining from purchasing an HD DVD player in the near future. Exclusive support of Warner Bros. Entertainment gives Blu-ray a large advantage in terms of studio backing, leaving only Paramount and Universal as major studios releasing movies exclusively on the HD DVD format. Format wars, changing tech, what you buy today is likely to be useless in short order. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc Did Betamax. Now I am a little more wiser and waiting for the format wars to be over, the technology to stabilize and see if it is even accepted by the public. Just because Sony/Warner says so...does not make it so. |
