Glass Hawk Boats Liverpool, NY
Does anyone have any information on Glass Hawk boats manufactured in
Liverpool, NY. Mine is a 14 or 15 foot model and I think it was made in 1962. I don't have any specific questions but would just be interested in anything available. I'm guessing it's a 1962 model as the serial number is 62-1059. It's not a Chriscraft but it has a nice shape and the size is small enough to be towed by an average vehicle. |

If you turn up nothing here, try contacting a marina in the neighborhood near where the boats were made. Maybe you'll run across a historian. Google using the words "marina guide oneida lake ny" |

Wow, that's a tough one! *I was born and raised 40 miles from Liverpool and never heard of Glass Hawk Boats. *Never saw one. Even Google was completely stumped on this one! *There's not a single document or reference to it! *It's not often Google is stumped. Larry -- Do remember to put 2008 on your checks!...(c; Yes, I tried Google and came up with nothing. I'll try taking a picture ASAP and post it. Thanks |

I also own a glass Hawk 13 and a half foot canoe I would most definitely be interested in a little history... it seems to be very well made I would be interested in the abrupt ending of the history..

Don't know if this post will help ..Glass Hawks were a spin off made in the early 60s...they were on Mfg hull..I was told by a local historian they made 3 or 4 models...canoe to 14 foot runabout..they were manufactured in Liverpool NY until there was a fire which destroyed their facility...they were sold through A C Lamb...this information was acquired by myself through Jim Brinson (owner of Brinson Marine...and member of Oneida Lake historical society)..Last year I was lucky enough to purchase a 1962 runabout 14ft...I have since restored it...very intrested if anyone else has one as this is local and rare being in production for only 3 yrs..if so send me an email
