Took me 8 years to get that Bachelor of Science degree, but spending 10-11 hours a day working and studying. Does not take a lot of skill to install lugnuts on an assembly line. |

All we ever heard growing up was how important an education was for obtaining a decent job when we grew up as an inducement to work hard in school. Now it seems that everyone expects and is entitled to a good job regardless of how they applied themselves in school. We should focus more on making sure that people less fortunate have the opportunity for an education, not a guarantied, high paying job. It then remains an individual choice, not a social program.
