Handy site for locating, contributing boat ramps / hazards
I found a site for locating ramps.
You can add the ones you use, to share with others... Or maybe you don't want that. Looks like it's just starting out. Anyway, may come in handy? http://www.hazmap.net/ |

Not sure how old but it's obviously from before Katrina and that's been over two years now. A LOT changed on the bottom and the islands as well as the coastline that day. Rick |

Not sure why the difference between the overall view and the closeups but the closeups are definitely after Katrina. Sorry for the false alarm. Rick |

Rick Type in Lake Lanier and you get a place on the SC/NC border! |

Sorry for the false alarm. Rick I don't think the point is to be current. All that matters is the coordinates and the entries the user's input. It's more likely that a user community will have more up to date info than google maps. For instance after a storm a sandbar moves. No way you're gonna have satellite imagery of that. but the people boating there will know where it is. |
