Interested In starting a catawba-worm farm

worms name. ButI still think therese a huge market for the Catawba
worm. Therese already a few places on the net selling them. But you
have to look at it this way, how many different kinds of bread or any
other product for that matter are made by different manufacturers.

Why don't you start the farm and then sell the worms?

little land and a whole lot of Catawba trees.

How do they keep them alive?
I've only given them to people who are loaded up and ready to go
fishing right then. I'm sure they'd be ok for a day or two, boxed up,
if they didn't get too hot or too cold. But seems storage or shipping
over any length of time would be a problem.

And they aren't worms - they are caterpillars.

(actually I'm the youngest of the old farts) that know everything
there is to know about everything there is to know. So at the coffee
shop this morning I asked: "What's the name of those trees I've got
that y'all keep pickin' those bugs off of?" The half dozen responses I
heard sounded like "Kuh-tawl-puh" to me. So I asked "How do you spell
it?" and all I got back was a bunch of blank stares and people lookin'
at each other lol!

yes, this is true, but how many different kinds of candy bars and
grocery products that are the same, but have different names, flour,
butter, syrup, and just about anything you can think of, they have in
different names, but it's the same stuff, the same concept will work
for Catawba worms

I do the same thing at the local Post Office. Little one man deal -
has a honest-to-pete pot bellied stove in the lobby - small table with
chess set, etc. I spend a half hour there every day talking with the
Post Master who has been there for 30 years. There's an ancient
mariner (DD sailor - WWII) who comes in about the same time and we
each make a move on the chess set - it's fun.
