Ping Harry:

Found a decent mp3 of the Hammond XK3 playing through the Leslie. Not pipe
organ music, but it certainly demonstrates the capabilities of the XK3 to
faithfully reproduce the original B3 drawbar sound.

Hope this link works:

The only really important criteria for the Hammond and the Lesley, is
how does it sound playing The House of the Rising Sun.

Not as smooth or mellow to my ears as the B3, but awfully close. A
couple of the notes, very few of them, sounded too harsh to be coming
out of a B3. But that could just be my ears playing me tricks. Thanks!

Harry,
Here is a great place to pick up some really nice B-3, one of the nice
features is you won't have to build an addition to your home as you
would with the pipe organ

That is close - very close. I'd love to hear that live - the .mp3
doesn't do it justice me thinks.

Of course the only true way to tell is to have Booker T come over to
your house and play "Green Onions". :)

Or the theme to "Hang 'Em High" - which, by the way, is the best
spagehtti western ever made.

When you stop to think about it, The MGs were one hell of a band.

I need to invent a time machine. :)
