Captain's Models

... About a year and a half ago I ordered a handmade model of Mrs.E's GB. It has taken a little longer to be built due to circumstances beyond control of the model builder. I got an email notice today that it is just about complete and he sent a couple of pictures. It was worth waiting for, I think. http://www.eisboch.com/Model2.jpg http://www.eisboch.com/Model1.jpg He told me that the base in the picture is temporary. The one being shipped with the model was in the drying oven when he snapped the pictures. I forget how long it is exactly, but it's something like 2.5-3 feet or thereabouts. Just in time for Christmas for Mrs.E. Eisboch Day-em, your wife's little model boat is worth more than my real boat! Seriously though, I can remember looking at the Captain's model site years ago, I think relating to his Norhavn 46 model. Nice work! Did you get a static model or RC? If it's RC can I take it for a test spin? Huh, can I? Steve P. |

Captain's Models has quite a good reputation as I have discovered when occasionally coming across references to his work in various model building and RC forums. Some of the pictures of his work taken in the water look like a real boat when there isn't any obvious scale reference. Eisboch |

I would often go to the lake after I had winterized the boat, just to enjoy the solitude. I could putz on some project or sit back and read a book and relax. My wife or kids never come to the lake during the off season, so it is my time to myself. |
